Located at 1080 meters (3339 feet) above sea level and with an average temperature of 26 ° (78 ° F). It is known as the Capital of Salsa. Many tourists from all over the world have come to the city to take salsa dancing classes. One of the best things to do in Cali is to enjoy the famous salsa circus show, Delirio. Highlights in the Valle del Cauca include the great biodiversity and range of Flora and Fauna. Destinations such as the Pance River with its crystal clear waters and the Farallones National Natural Park, an area of great importance for ornithology with steep mountain ranges, cloud forest, and many water sources. San Cipriano is a town renowned for the journey in the wooden railway carriage called “Brujitas”, and Buenaventura city, where Colombia’s largest international port is located.

San Cipriano

San Cipriano is a unique and enchanting Afro-Colombian village located in the heart of the jungle in the Valle del Cauca Department of Colombia. This remote and secluded community has become a popular eco-tourism destination due to its extraordinary transportation method and natural beauty.

One of the main attractions of San Cipriano is the innovative transportation system known as “brujitas.” These are handmade wooden platforms attached to old motorcycle engines that run on railroad tracks. Visitors can hop on these bamboo rafts and glide through the jungle, passing through the lush vegetation and crossing crystal-clear rivers. The experience of riding the brujitas is both thrilling and memorable.

San Cipriano is surrounded by abundant natural beauty. The area is home to several stunning natural pools and waterfalls, where visitors can take a refreshing dip and enjoy the tranquility of the jungle. The pools are formed by the clear waters of the San Cipriano River, creating an idyllic spot for relaxation and swimming.

The village is located within the San Cipriano Reserve, a protected area that is part of the Buenaventura Pacific Forest Reserve. The region’s biodiversity is impressive, with a variety of flora and fauna. Visitors have the opportunity to spot different bird species, monkeys, and other wildlife while exploring the jungle.

San Cipriano is home to a vibrant Afro-Colombian community. Visitors can experience the rich cultural heritage of the locals, including their music, dance, and traditional cuisine. The warm hospitality of the people adds to the authentic and welcoming atmosphere of the village.
